Online Safety
Online Safety at North Walkden primary
Guidance and support for students, parents, and carers
For Students
-
Keep your name, address, school, and passwords secret.
-
Only talk to people you know in real life.
-
If something online worries or upsets you, tell a teacher, parent, or adult you trust.
-
Be kind online – treat others how you want to be treated.
-
Think before you click or share – not everything online is true.
Remember: If it doesn’t feel right online, speak to an adult. You won’t get into trouble for asking for help.
For Parents & Carers
-
Talk to your child about what they do online and what apps or games they use.
-
Set simple rules about screen time and online behaviour.
-
Use parental controls and privacy settings where you can.
-
Encourage your child to tell a teacher or you if they see something worrying online.
-
Contact school staff if you need advice about online safety.
Tip: Friendly chats make it easier for children to share concerns.
