Floor Books

In EYFS we have Floor Books to showcase our provision and celebrate the childrens learning throughout the year.

Floorbooks are blank books where we can record children’s voices and their ideas to use in our planning. This child centred approach records the evidence of the process of play and the learning that comes from it.’   Claire Warden (Mindstretchers) 

Our floor books that are linked to the Development Matters, show what support is given to children in class and it is evident what progress the children have made from starting school to 2 - 3 terms later. The inclusion of the children within the planning process is clearly demonstrated in our Floor Books,  as their thoughts and ideas are recorded in the book and used to document the consultation process between children and their teacher.

We can share our childrens individual online Learning Journey or the classes Floor Book with you at Parent Evenings throughout the year.
