Nursery are healthy...

Each morning, Nursery have their milk and fruit and we discuss all types of ways of being healthy. This led to discussions of 'whats your favourite fruit'. Some children made tally charts by drawing pictures of fruit and asking friends to choose a favourite. Strawberries are very popular with Nursery class!! The children counted marks they had made to represent number, and some children had a fantastic try at forming numbers. I was blown away!!! 

This prompted Miss Kelbie to pop to Tesco and buy a selection of fruit for fruit tasting! The children helped me write a shopping list and off i went... We bought... Pineapple, Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Banana, Pear and Honeydew Melon. The children enjoyed choosing pieces of fruit and discussing the taste and texture. It was a very healthy afternoon!!
